The development and calculation of robust algorithmic cost functions for climate change of H2O, NOx, and contrail cirrus

This report documents the development of algorithmic climate change functions, which estimate how strongly the non-CO2 effects of a flight – water vapour, nitrogen oxides and contrail cirrus – contribute to warming, depending on where and when the emissions occur. These functions are the basis for planning routes with a lower overall climate impact.
